Following Trump’s rescission of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), the most pressing need is to help individuals with current DACA status expiring between now and March 5, 2018. Renewal applications must be received by DHS no later than October 5 — less than four weeks away.
Lawyers for Good Government and the L4GG Foundation are coordinating with immigration groups all over the country to organize “rapid fire” clinics held between now and October 5 to assist DACA recipients complete their renewal forms. They need attorneys to volunteer at these clinics.
If you are a lawyer, sign up to volunteer at clinics for individuals with current DACA status, either to assist with renewals between now and 10/5/17, or to assist in other ways after 10/5/17. You do not need to be an immigration lawyer.
